It says the L99 is the standard 6.2L in the 1SS but the specs show that the LS3 has more power and more torque.
so which is the motor with the most power???? I figured the SS would have the biggest baddest smallblock there is... which one is that L99 or LS3????

They are both the same size. The LS3 is the higher HP but only comes with the 6 speed manual transmission. The L99 is the lower HP and only comes with the 6 speed auto.

Well I want a 6 speed and only a 6 speed so does it automatically come with the LS3 cause I get the manual???
Or do I have to specifically indicate I want the LS3 vs the L99? And is it more money than the L99????

If you want an auto you get the L99.
There are no other choices.

The L99 has Displacment on Demand. The LS3 does not. They had to use the L99 for gas mileage, but the DOD wont work well with the 6 speed manual so they used the LS3 for the 6 speed manual.
