I know of a member that got his 5th gen down to 3500 in street trim with interior. If you have one and don't cut weight, then that's your fault if you are serious about performance.
Mustang sales proved many don't agree. 5th gens are turds. 6th Gens are what 5th gens should have been. Chevy finally got a clue.

I hate that the 1LE was faster than a Boss around a track, and that the Z/28 beat a GTR also on the track - where both were engineered to perform well. Such garbage!!
Agreed on the 6th gen - GM dropped weight and Ford gained it w/IRS. Base V8 6th gen is more comparable to a GT350 than a GT - that says A LOT...
I like a 2015 1LE better than a new 6th gen in the looks department. I can't wait to see a 16 at a stop light and make it look terrible next to my Scat Pack.

Those Scat Packs are Cool. Sometime around August I am going to see about getting one. May get rid of my Camaro and Charger for one. We will see.

i honestly like the idea of making it an option on RT challengers. its still a rip but you dont have to spend as much.
a guy at work bought an RT challenger before i got my 1le who i bust his ***** constantly. we go back and forth but he knows less about his car than i do.
he says hes faster but had no idea how to launch his car until i told him lol. he thought TCS was to help you get better traction when racing LMFAO.
i recently found out dodge guys correct me if im wrong that RTs DONT COME WITH AN lsd AS STD EQUIPMENT.
if thats the case i bet he wont best a 13.8 at atco not that he would anyway lol.

Despite the weight of the 5th Gen, it is a damn good car showcasing the skill of the GM engineering team (specifically, the Camaro team). Yes, the car is heavy, but if you are ignoring what GM has done with that platform in spite of the weight, I think you're just going on blind hate.
Well you wont be hearing from me much anymore. I just got a 2015 B5 Blue Charger Scat pack. Ill let you guys know how it runs after I get it to the track if anyone cares. Good Luck with the Chevys The New Camaros seem very nice.
