Default Penzoil Plat. 5w or 10w-30

hey guys I live in Texas and drive my car regularly and its a 02 ws6 and just wanted to know whicj weight will have the best cleaning as still have the performance and which will quiet the cold starts more and just overall better during this time of the year. 80 to 100 degrees? my car has 100k thanks for the help

80-100 degrees? I would say 10w30

I believe GM reccomends both 5w-30 and 10w-30. Either one will be fine I would however go with the 10w-30 like the other posters have said.

5w-30 Penn Plat in my bird. I used to use GC, either one is fine IMO. I go with whichever one is on sale at the time I need an oil change.

Yeah I do 5w30 but I live in Seattle. If I was in Texas it would be 10w30.
