Default New Thermostat WTF?
How am I supposed to get this thing put together? Do I have to use a valve spring compressor or what?

Can you compress the spring and hold it with some wire. put it together and then cut the wire. I've never seen this before good luck.

Good idea!

The wire I had didn't work very well. It was too big and kept letting the spring pop out to one side so I used several zip ties then cut them out after I got it together..

Total PIA!
