How can I find the hidden vins? It is a canadian vin on the dash so maybe this car is pieced together whwn my mechanic first saw it he told me the engine and tranny were not of the car I guess it didnt line up? So if this car is pieced together I lose the car and my money?

well the options i see are. You possibility could have different f bodies in your car....the seller turned the mileage back. or your body guy is right... the original motor and trans went and the guy had a new one put in and maybe put a different odometer in idk.
as with me and everyone else in this thread. CALL THE DMV. if the car is stolen well your out of a car and then you take the guy to civil court and get your money back + time and hassle

I bought mine back in 07' at a car dealer, looked under it and saw gm replacement stickers all over. carfaxed it and nothing showed. found the address of the bodyshop on the parts stickers and called them . they remembered the car and sent me copies of the estimate and repair order. I bought it anyway and have no regrets. got me a 1SC stripper coupe. need a post on how to tell if it's a replacement cluster.

For that price you probably have a 5.3L or he had another Camaro setting in his shop. The guy that built your car is good. I would like to buy a few parts from him. He probably has a couple of totals sitting around or has a favorite junkyard that he deals with.

The fact that the car was from a Canadian means maybe it was imported and had cluster that has Kilometers instead of Miles. A conversion from 126,000 kilometers into miles is 78,292 miles. If they brought it here and wanted it to be in Miles they could have had a dealer send off the cluster with his American replacement and get the miles converted to the correct numbers. That is a very plausible reason for that difference I would check hidden vins and whatnot(some in the T-tops area and on the frame rails near the engine bay) and make sure they are the same. If they are i wouldn't worry about it. Maybe the car was repainted or had a damaged part that may be why the RPO sticker isn't there. It happens all the time. Thank me later on the Kilometer/Mile conversion i think the car is legit but maybe had some repairs and that's why the RPO sticker is gone. Check VIN's and confirm they are all legit and let it be Also if you have the VIN a dealer will be able to get you the RPO list OR call SLP and give it to them and they'll be able to tell you if it's a true WS6 car since they are the ones that built them

Of course the mechanic would say that the motor is different, the heads are 243s and those didn't come with the LS1s.
