This is the jack that everyone needs for f-bodies, and would probably work well for Corvettes also.

I think I've seen it for $109 with a coupon. I unfortunately have the 3 ton low profile jack, it still works well but it has 10 inches less reach and probably wouldn't work nearly as good on a lowered car. Either way it can reach all of the way to the center of the k-member or rear diff.
