Default simple question from an LS rookie...

New to the LS platform. What forum (specifically) should I frequent to learn about LS7's?

Seems like things are categorized as gen II, gen IV, etc. I don't know how this relates...

mucho gracias

And if you don't find what you are looking for by using the search function on this site, you can use Google.

Type in LS1TECH first and then your question. It will search for answers on here first before giving alternate sites. I find this more useful on vBulletin message boards than the search within the boards. Although the search here does work better than most boards.

They are categorized by generation of GM small block's.
Gen 1 is the first generation small block chevy, Gen 2 is the LT1, Gen 3 is the LS1 and LS6 (1997-2004) and Gen 4 is the LS2/3/7 and every other LS/LQ based V8 from 2005 to 20014.

It acutally says this under the section title.

Thanks - exactly what I was looking for. I knew what the gen1 & 2 were, but not sure of the LS stuff.

Guess I should have looked a little harder...

Form your search on Google like this and it will return results only from LS1Tech:
