So I have started looking for a 6.0 here in the fine state of Colorado.
Now of my local yards had one. Lotsa 5.3's though.

So I started flipping through fee bay. Best pricing seems to be a place called BOW Autoparts.

Anyone have experience with them? Good or Bad.

Do you mean the LS2 or the LQ9 / LQ4?

Picked up my LQ9 complete for $900.00, it weighs about 100 pounds more then an LS2 would have... but I sold my blown LS1 for 1000 bucks so it was pretty much a free swap over. Now I can run bigger heads and make a bit more power. I can't really notice a difference in terms of handling ( I know I'm supposed to with the extra weight but I don't ).

where did you get a complete lq9 for that cheap? im in the same boat as op and I might end up turning to an ebay lq4 for around 1800 depending on the mileage

I scored a 02 6.0 with a spun rod bearing for 300. at my local LKQ just keep hunting! Went to UPAP and found 3 5.3 last week...
