Default Water For Combustion Chamber Cleaning

Hello Everyone,

I have spent a lot of time researching/reviewing online in regards to spraying water into the intake manifold, in low quantity, to create steam to clean the combustion chamber.

If anyone has done on here, could you advise on your thoughts before, during & after?

I am wanting to do this to my Gen 3 down here in Australia.

Thankyou & Kind Regards,

Justin

Don't do it, ask me how I know. Buy some spray intake cleaner etc lots of them out there and follow the directions. Best ones are the foaming type. Water will NOT clean intake but it will ruin the rings quickly, I seen it many times. Hot piston rings+water =FUBAR.

Thankyou, I just wanted to ask.
I used the Subaru upper engine cleaner as this is also said to be awesome at cleaning the LS manifolds/upper cylinder etc, but it done stuff all to mine really... And I mean stuff all.
I am starting to look around for the next thing that may help full intake cleaning & upper cylinder etc.

Amsoil makes a foaming product that works great.
