Default Mismatch VIN #'s

i just that the 1998 ws6 i thought i had bought was really an 02 ws6 with a 1998 v6 dash. no door stickers or anything. the 02 was probably wrecked and had a rebuilt/salvage title, and he cleared the title by putting a 98 dash on it. the title read 123000 and he said it was like that when he bought it from the auction wrecked. but the dash lights up 53000.

What are legal matters im stuck with here. i was told even though i dont want to i need to take it back to the guy that i bought it from and if he doesnt take it than i can sue for more than what the cars worth and he can go to jail for 5-10 or something like that.

What is the real legal actions that can be done?

Well... The only thing that you can do is fight him, Take him to court... because if you already bought the car and stuff its yours.. and there isnt much you can do... you could sew him but i dont know how much you will get.... I had this happen to me once before.. I know how you are feeling
