Default Need help doing research on ?????cubic inches??????

Hey, I am doing research right now before buying a Trans Am.

I noticed there are a lot of different cubic inches blocks out there like 396, 402, 427, 454 and 502. Im not sure what CI the LS1 engine came in.

Is there a website that can tell me all about GM cubic inch engines? I tried searching on google and couldn't really find anything, and the LS1tech search feature is kinda wacko right now...

A year would help or a generation of cars (1-4th). Now if you talking old school, yes there are alot of different options, the most common is the reguler 350. However alot of "bandit" cars came with 400 blocks (402?) and the new vettes have the ls7 which is the 427. The LS1 is a 346 ci and it is not like the reguler 350, it has a whole different design. 502 is GMS newest big block motor, i havent heard of one in a F body besides of two or three which were special designs from GM (ZR1 - camaro in 1996)

I was looking at the 98-02. Thanks that answered a lot of my questions!
