Default Will 16'' rims w/ snow tires from a 96 Firebird fit a 01 T/A WS6???

Found some for sale in my area, the offer is 2 rims with snow tires, Goodyear Ultragrip HP, P215/60R16 94S, off a 1996 Firebird. I would need them for my 2001 T/A WS6, and before I purchase, which would be today or tomm, I need to know weather they will fit my car or not? I don't even have the Trans-Am yet, however I pick it up Monday but the seller is leaving for Florida Monday and meeting then is out of the question, so he said he could deliver them to my house today or tomm. The price is $50 for both rims and tires, also he would want $20 to deliver them to my house, which is an hour and a half ride from his house. So $70 for 2 rims with snow tires off a 96 Firebird delieved to my house. Please let me know ASAP as I have to call them back soon to let them know, thanks!

Here is the link to the rims/tires:

The wheels on my Camaro are from a 97 Bird I believe.

They fit fine.

They will fit, but your speedo will be off going from 17"s to 16"s. I have done this, I had to use a dremel on the 16" rim to make it fit flush on the rear wheel hub.

Thanks guys! It doesn't bother me that it will throw the speedo off, i'll just be using these for burnouts then drag radials.

Spedo calibration has nothing to do with rim size. The overall tire diameter will change the spedo but rim size means nothing to the spedo. Only the overall diameter of the tire will change the spedo.

Another rim question. I bought the Firebird wheels and tires, however I also own a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT. I was wondering if the stock 16'' rims off that would fit onto my Trans-Am. I will just be using those rims/tires for burning out and sliding around, so looks doesn't matter at all, just need to know if the rims will fi the car.

if the offset and bolt patterns line up then you should be ok.

I don't think the bolt paterns would line up. The Mitsi should be a metric pattern while the firebird is sae (5X4-3/4).

The bolt patterns appeared to match, I set the rims side by side and looked into the holes and saw the other lugnuts right behind it. Not sure if that helps in anyway other then that they matched up to the eye. I hope they do fit, but I guess we will just have to wait till later this afternoon to see since im picking up the T/A today. Thanks though!

Why don't you reread the original post!!! He said the tires he wanted to buy are 215/60/16 which is taller (26") then a stock WS6 which is 275/40/17 (25.7"). His speedo will be off slightly......
