oil pressure
i am still new to the ls1's but i have a 98 model.
when i start the car on a cold start the pressure is around 70psi
it usually comes down to around 45psi for a good long time and sits at 45 while cruising below 2,000 rpm.
but when its a hot day out and i have been driving my car for awhile, the pressure seems to go down to 30... is that normal.
using mobil 1 5w-30
car has 96k on it

that seems normal, and at high temps consider going with a thicker oil.
i would say that your new to motors.. not just to LS1s because the answers would be the same whether its an LS, LT, Gen 1, a ford, a fiat or a mazda.
obviously the physical properties of oil indicate that it thins with temperature and that pressure is a function of viscosity.

haha. i guess you could im new to internal engine components and physics.
but considering my evo never drops that far, or my 350z, or my wrx... i was just wondering how far it would drop before worrying
