Default Corvette Insurance rates...

So Im currently selling a 99' SS in order to purchase a C5. I wanted know if Im going to see a spike in my insurance rate. Ive owned 5 camaros total and my rate have not changed much from change in years. Ive owned 95-02 all similar rates. Let me know what you guys have seen from switching from an f-bod to a vette.

Thanks,
Chris

My Insurance went up when I got my 99 SS compared to when I had my 96 C4 collectors edition vett. Went up about $150 every 6. 35 and clean recored.

just what I wanted to hear... People keep saying my insurance would shoot through the roof on a vette, but I knew it would be around the same as it is on the SS.

Typically insurance on a Corvette will be lower then a Camaro or Firebird.

A corvette will run you less for insurance. When I was looking around for one before i bought my 99, the vette was like $50/month cheaper for me. 24 and no tickets/accidents

yeah i guess it's because the average age demographic is older, they are in less accidents typically and they are stolen less. That's why USUALLY rates are less

Fewer vettes stolen, lower accident history because there are more garaged vettes as opposed to high-mileage f-bodies, lower accident history due to *typically* more mature driver, less passengers to cover, and vette driver's are often more cautious out of love for their vehicle.
