gauge lights not working 98 T/A My guage lights on the spedo and tach do not work. when the headlights are off the milege light and the oil lights and that work, but when i turn on the head lights every light shuts off except the security light and it stays on all the time.
I just pulled out my gauges thinking the lights were burned out but everyone of them is good. what do i check next?

ok i got it. it was a dimmer fuse. the previous owner replaced the 5A fuse for a 10A fuse and wired some fog lights to it or something. wiring in this car is nuts. but even though the fuse tested good i pulled it and it was so corroded it was not making connections. replaced for a good 5A and its all working good.
