There is absolutely NO reason to not use an LT1 radiator. Get the LT1 radiator.

There is one thing you have to do. Buy a rubber cap and a band clamp....cap off the one extra port on the drivers side bottom ofthe radiator.

Otherwise, it mounts 100% exactly like the LS1 radiator with ZERO mods. You would never know the difference in the two if you did not see the extra port sticking out.

The hose ports are identical and the coolant level sensor goes in the exact same place.

Here's the extra port I'm talking about. I suggest not just clamping it off, but put a 3/8" hose on it and then clamp a plastic plug in the end so you can unclamp it for easy draining later on. It runs out alot faster than the factory petcock valve for flushing.

And again, there is NOT one single difference in the two radiators except that extra port and the LT1 radiator has 30% more capacity.

Its funny too. I replaced mine because I had a crack in the plastic, years ago. I bought an LS1 radiator from Advance Auto, put it in and capped that port. I never knew till recently that I put an LT1 radiator in. I just thought that extra port was a new addition for maybe some kind of accessory. So I just capped it. But it comes in very handy for flushing. I just remove that white plug and it pours out almost as fast as I can spray it in. Its great.

YOU WILL SEE A HUGE IMPROVEMNET IN COOLING, night and day difference.

The factory power steering cooler actually heats up the power steering fluid something fierce, not many people realize that. So I installed that aftermarket tranny cooler as a power steering fluid cooler. I took the factory PS cooler off and bought a straight rubber upper hose. Took about 30 minutes to do it and $40.00.

For airflow over the cooler as I'm moving. I just cut that out with a razor knife.: And the cooler you see in front of my condensor is my tranny cooler.
