Default Check Engine light problems

My check engine light came on the other day and I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. I am thinking it is the o2 sensor since the engine feels kind of sluggish and seems to be almost at stalling point when idling. I only have the car a week so I can not comment on how different the performance is. Any help is appreciated. If this is common, I apologize, but I am quite the noob here.

I would take it to an Autozone and get it scanned to see what code is causing the light to come on. They do it for free, or just find someone with an OBD II scanner. Or if you want to buy one for yourself they are well worth it. I bought one from Autozone for around $24 a few months ago. When you get the code just look it up on here or a google search should bring it up too. Best of luck.
