Small electrical problem
I have a 98 WS6. Heres the problem -
It is an intermittent running light problem. The running lights are the same as the directional lights (the one in the front not on the side). They are always on. Occasionally the running light goes completely black (drivers side). When this happens, the directional still works fine. When it is black (light out) and I turn the light switch to the first setting (turns rear light on but not headlights), the light that is out will illuminate, but it is very dim compared to the passenger side light. The directional still works at this time.
It is hard to diagnose because it is intermittent. The socket was changed out due to corrosion, but I know I hooked it up right. It did it with the old socket as well. I also sealed the spliced wire very tight so it is not that either.
Wiggling or pulling slightly has no effect on it so it doesnt seem like a bad/loose connection or a break in the wire. It is like it has a mind of its own. Yes I checked the bulb too. Any advice is appreciated.
