Default rolling idle

hello every one im having a idle problem it just goes from 1000 to 1500 i taught it was the iac but it is working and i cleaned it after i cleaned it it went awey and when i came back from a quick drive it i turned off the car then turn it back on and it was back all i have done is a bbk 80mm tb a lid and maf i checked for vacuum leaks but did not find anything i dont drive the car much and i think it started when i got the bbk any ideas sorry for the long post and bad spelling i forgat is a 98 z28 m6

well, there ain't know way your rpm's can rise abnormally unless there is MORE air getting in there that is supposed to be at idle.

So either air is getting by your new TB or you have an exhaust leak. But I would rule out the IAC just yet. Maybe swap with a friend if you can to see if that fixes it. Or go buy a new one. If that doesn't fix it just return it for a refund.

If its not the IAC....you have a vaccum leak or TB leak.

ok i will have to try that do i need a tune for this things or will they work whit factory settings

I'm not sure if you need a tune for a new TB and MAF...but maybe.

You could put all your old stuff back on and see if it runs normal again, then you'll at least know its directly related to those parts.

Maybe just put the old MAF back on and see if that fixes the issue. That will only take a few minutes.

I would think the TB is the problem, but who knows till you weed things out.

Do the MAF, see what happens.

i put it all back to stock still there i will get a new iac tomorrow thanks for the help
