help on replacing stock lt1 water pump..
anybody out there with a write up on how to r and r the stock pump with a meziere electric pump??? i have a 95 T/A (daily driver) and i've heard some fabrication needs to be done to the fan shroud for clearance and that some wiring needs to be done for the warning light. any insight?

The best thing to do is to put a LS1 in and throw the LT1 away or use it for a boat anchor if you have a boat...when the water pump leaks it usually ruins the opti sparke and that will cost you plenty to replace...not one of GM's better ideas ... as you can see I am not a big fan of the LT1 motor..good luck with you problem ... hope it did not ruin your opti turd ignition ...

If you decide to remove the pump drive shaft (you don't have to), you will need to drop the pan slightly to save the oil pan gasket.

Welcome. I decided to install mine before the stocker went out. Most fail at the rear seal, which douses the Opti with coolant. Plus there is a slight hp increase across the board.
If you decide to remove the pump drive shaft (you don't have to), you will need to drop the pan slightly to save the oil pan gasket.
