Default Heater hoses

The PN for LS1 heater hoses is 10415020. A local dealer quoted me $170 for them, but they sell for $100 on gmpartsdirect. However, they add $142 for shipping! Has anyone else ordered these from gmpartsdirect.com and had that high of a shipping cost? Are there other options for heater hose?

Just buy heater hose, it'll cost you $15.00. No need to buy the factory rip-off crap.

If you go to the parts store you will see they have hoses wrapped in a plastic bag and the hose inside is curled up. Use those. Use hose brackets to keep them away from the headers/exhaust manifold.

So regular heater hose can replace the metal/rubber factory combo ones? What diameter is needed for our cars?

Yup....

Just make sure you bracket the new hose against the body with simple "L" brackets or something....just to keep them away from the exhaust piping heat.
