Default A/C cluth removal

If i am not running the AC my compressor makes a lot of noise, there are metal shavings around it too. I am guessing the clutch bearing is bad???
anyone know if i can pull the clutch off while it is still in the car?

Yes you can, but it takes a special puller which you can rent from AZ, OReilly etc.

To "rebuild" the clutch do I need anything other than the coil, and the clutch itself? Is GMpartsdirect.com or rockauto.com better to order from? They both have what I need for about the same price.
