replaceing my window regulators...

Default replaceing my window regulators...

what size or the rivets holding the regulator to the door? where can i get them?

They are special aluminum jacketed steel manddrel rivets. They are around 1/4", can only be had from the dealer and require an oversize rivet tool.

Curious - why are you changing them out?

I assume he is doing the regulator. There are nuts and bolts you can use instead but you have to make sure they are the correct size or else they could damage the door or if they are too long they could protrude and hit the regulator when the window comes down/goes up.

I would check the dealer they may have to order them but they will be able to get them for sure.

i ordered new dorman motors and regulators, i ordered the rivets from ebay, i found the part number of the rivets, but now i need a special rivet gun? i guess i'll order that now.

No a standard rivet gun with will work (provided it has a few different diameter holes to choose from). I use my 10 dollar sears hand pump rivet gun.

These are 1/4" rivets. If you have a hand riveter that will do a 1/4" rivet, I'd sure like to know the part number. This page shows options for 1/4" rivets: http://www.emhart.com/products/pop/popset.asp
