AC question
I recently installed a new dash in my car and when I was putting back the AC control panel and I was clicking the all the parts together, I noticed that the **** that selects off, max ac, dash, floor...etc, turns freely and I thought it was supposed to click to each one. Did I do something wrong, did I break it. I am confused. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Sean

By the way the car is a 2000 Trans AM and I finally got everything together and the battery hooked up and I noticed that I can move it from the off position to any other but it only seems to just stay on one setting but when you move it back to off it turns off.

sounds like you got a bad vacumn line check valve its located on right side
of firewall near where the ac lines go into ac box .mine went bad this past
summer causing the" ac " to blow out of defroster vents on top of the dash
most parts stores carry them for about six bucks ,i hope that solves your
problem .
