Default Throttle cable question!

I have a Traction Control equipped car. The TC has been disabled.

I am having a problem with my throttle sticking open slightly.

I have purchased a new throttle cable - but I chose the NO TC throttle cable. Can I still equip this NO TC cable even though my car is equipped with TC?

Any help would be appreciated. I think I just wasted 50 bucks on a cable shipped to my door.

Hi, throttle body sticking is fairly common on f-body 4th generation. Remove throttle body and give it a good cleaning to remove carbon deposits. You may also use 1500 sandpaper and lightly smooth things. Do not remove to much material. Remove throttle blade and check edges and apply fresh lubricant and clean return spring. Remember the rubber gaskets and put them back onto the shaft ends. Reassemble and check for proper function.
Check cable by removing clip and pushing cable together and reinstall clip for proper tension.remember to sand lightly.................have a blessed day.

The clip is broken.

Can't seem to buy the clip anywhere. So I bought a new cable - but it's the NON TC cable.

My car is equipped with TC (currently disabled)
