Default unknown electrical issue

I have a auto 99 z28 and the only mod is full exhaust.

this started about 2 months ago and almost every time i start the car, my trip odometer resets and i have to re program my after market head unit. I have no idea why it does this.. I've checked the positive and negative cables on the battery and both are tight. Sometimes I'll even try to start the car and it wont start until i shake the battery as if it was loose, but its not. The battery is newer so i wouldn't think it would randomly start doing this one day.

any help?

Check the positive and negative cables throughout the full length of them. Its possible to have an internal corrosion buildup or an internal break that can cause a loss of battery power.

I've seen multiple problems on cars trace back to a bad cell on a battery. If you can't figure anything else out i would put a new battery on it and see what happens.
