33's on my Escalade......possible tranny problems/Lock up problems.
I installed 33inch tires for winter, they are not swampers by any means, although they are alittle aggressive, and are 3inchs taller then my stock tires. Now when I am on the thruway at 50mph'ish, I think it is causing my trucks converter to lockup and unlock, almost like it doesn't know what it wants to do, deffnitiely depends on load since when going up a hill it seems to do it more, driving down the otherside of the hill its fine, driving on a straight it is also fine. Its worse when the truck is still warming up, it mainly does it if I give more gas trying to go up small hills to keep up with morning traffic... its weird, I didn't try to give alot of gas yet but If I do give more it kinda seems to cause it to do it more on me. Its like a small shake of my truck when it happens, almost like I hit a bump in the road but the truck doesn't really hit one... hard to explain.
