wanting to swap ls1 5.7 for a 6.0 vortecmax a couple weeks ago i found out my 99TA had a misfire which in conclusion has a broken ring on a piston. i need to have the engine rebuild or replace it with another ls1. but i found a complete 6.0 vortec max with transmission ready to drop in with about 50k. for $2500 i think its an awesome deal. but my question is. can that engine fit my 99TA? how bout with the tranny? would i need to do any modifications to the car? if any what? any info its appreciated.
