Default '01 Suburban - 5.3L - EGR and PCV

'01 Suburban 1500 with 5.3L engine.

The Service Engine light has lit, and the code that I pull indicates that the "EGR system is running lean". Does that mean that I need to replace the EGR? Where is this valve located?

And while I'm asking silly questions ..... where is the PCV valve located? I see that I can buy a new one, but certainly can't find where it inserts into the valve covers?

Sorry for the basic questions!!!

Do you have the specific code? The EGR system doesnt run rich or lean, it just recirculates exhaust gasses back through the intake.

The code that I get with my handy code reader is P0404, and it includes some text about the "EGR circuit".

Thanks for you response.

Your vehicle should have a sticker in the engine bay that will show where the PCV is.
