Default Upstream or Downstream O2 Sensors

Which ones are removed when headers are installed? Downstream/Rear correct? I need to replace the two I have now, but I can never remember if they are the upstream/fronts or the downstream/rears.

The ones closer the the engine are upstream

Really? Why does advance and autozone specify which ones are upstream and downstream? THey have different part numbers too.
