Default Wierd Electrical Problem

Today I started driving out to a buddies place to do some suspension work. On the way there my oem radio started skipping a bit which it has never done. I didn't think any thing of it. When I got to my buddies place I shut the car off for maybe 5 minutes. When I tried to start the car again to move it into the garage it made a *Click* sound and every light in the car went off. I have no power and the battery is basically dead. My voltmeter in the car stays around 13V while driving. (Not sure if that has anything to do with this or not) So far we have tried jump starting the car with no success. However randomly thereafter when I put the key in, my gauges lit up, but when I tried to start it the same "Click - Dead" thing happened. Any ideas? Thanks

This.

Guy above me mentioned checking the battery cables which is a good start. Check to make sure they are secured to the battery properly, and go from there.
