Default oxygen sensor

i have a 98 z28 and i was wondering if there was a difference between an upstream and downstream o2 sensor?

NOPE.

The sensor itself is identical....the only reason you see different part numbers is because of wire lengths.

You can use the sensor in any port...back, front, left, right....doesn't matter.

If you are going to experiment by moving them, you'll want to be sure to use anti-seize on the threads...

thanks guys and i have to replace them for stupid emissions now i know why they have different numbers.
