Default P/S pressure and return line question

Ok so I have been working on my winter maintenance project on the t/a. The list is: replace a/c tensioner, idler pulley, and belt. Replace factory alt with KD3 truck alt and innovative wiring kit. And p/s pressure and return line along with a new off radiator cooling unit. Lots of fun

My question is regarding the pressure line and return line removal. For the pressure line it is not an issue getting it off of the pump. I simply removed the pulley and its easy access. The (return and pressure) lines connecting to the rack and pinion are angering me though. Getting a wrench in there is not an issue but those babies are on seriously tight! Im not able to get enough torque to get em off. I have tried pb blaster to no avail.

Can I cut the lines since I am replacing them anyway and then just use a deep socket to get them off? Has anyone done this? I have also heard some people using a crows foot down here for these lines. Tips would be appreciated.

Yes, cut them if you want to, makes no difference. But man, they are easy to get to with a wrench and loosen them.
