Default Throttle Position Sensor code

Ok whats up, my service engine soon light came on...well i had the code pulled and it was the TPS sensor. I figure OK well I'll go ahead and change it.

NOPE! code still there....so what gives? whats the problem?

I wasted $40.00 on a peice i didnt need?

What was the exit code?

Did you reset the code?

Car acting funny?

I dont remember the code...I lost the freakin printout the dude gave me at AZ

I pulled the battery cable and let it sit a awhile..and what was funny as soon as I cranked the car the code was there, usually it takes it a minute or so to reappear. so did it clear it or not. The guy at AZ will not clear for me

no actually the car was acting funny before or after I put the new one on.

I've had this code in the past related to a dirty MAF. Have you ever cleaned yours and do you use an oiled air filter?
