Default Aftermarket knock sensors

Has anyone had problems with aftermarket knock sensors? Several months back I got a code for knock sensor bank 2 (PO442 I believe). I replaced both knock sensors and the harness. I also put a bead of RTV arount the top of the sensors IAW the service bulletin or whatever it was. about 6 mos later the same code came back. Knock sensor bank 2. I can't keep removing that intake and replacing knock sensors every few months. Is there anything else that could cause that code besides the sensors and the harness? Or is it like O2 sensors that I have heard you have to get from a dealer or you will get a code again (if you get from an autoparts store)? I got the sensors from Oreilly. Thoughts/experiences?
Thanks

I put AC Delco's in mine, thats what i was recommended on here. Got them from amazon. I had the same problem, replaced both sensors and its been happy ever since. Make sure your harness is not pinched anywhere and i would replace it too if you havent yet. Also, check if oil came through the grommets in the valley cover, not sure but it might ruin the connector.
