Default Car Won't Start - Electrical Issue

I'm having a problem starting my '02 Z06 - I think I traced it to a 12v keyed-on wire I tapped into that wasn't hooked up to anything. I tried to start it and it didn't work.

I connected the 12v wire, and it still didn't start. I'm now getting a clicking from the passanger side footwell. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it - when I reconnected it, one headlight went up.

Any help is very much appreciated.

I just had the exact same problem with my 2002 z28. Has it been getting progressively worse? As simple as this sounds, It was my starter the whole time. It was just getting weaker and weaker. As long as you don't have a security light on or blinking I am assuming it could very well be the same problem.
