when my wife turns on her ac in her 00 camaro it starts to squeal and stops as soon as she turns it off. im guessing its the clutch? or compressor? or something else? can you guys help me troubleshoot?

im pretty handy but my cars have just started to get old enough for things to start failing on them and i've never done any major repairs before but wish to try and save where i can.
