1996 Trans Am WS6 overheating, fans only work on AC
I have a 96 WS6 and I've checked the relay and fuse for the cooling fans. I have the larger fan only, and it only works when I leave the AC on. Any suggestions? I was thinking of wiring up a switch to control them manually. I have searched but have not come up with anything.

Also they make a kit you can buy at most parts stores to create a standalone fan setup. You stick a sensor/switch between the fins in the radiator and wire in a relay for it to come on at a certain temp. It's around $20-30 and much better solution than a switch which you may forget to flip on.
