Question Thinking about switching from Mobil 0w-40 to Castrol 0w-30

I've ran Mobil 0w-40 euro blend with a Mobil filter in my TA since I've owned it. I run Castrol Edge 0w-30 euro blend with a Bosch Premium filter in my RSX because it burns it way less than any other oil in that wannabe 2 stroke of a 4 banger. It would be really nice to have them both running the same oil to make purchasing oil easier and cheaper. Can anyone come up with any technical reason I wouldn't want to run the German Castrol in my LS1? I do have an upgraded valve train if that plays a factor.

The M1 0W-40 has a better viscosity index, along with a slightly higher HTHSV.

They are both great oils, and the lower VI of the (now) 'Belgian Castrol' will be of no consequence if you do not use the car in the winter.

It's 0w40 Castrol that you'll want to use, 0w30 isn't German Castrol anymore 0w40 is.

Are you sure? I just bought 6 quarts for my Acura at Autozone and while they do have a new orange label, vs the old red label, the 0w-30 was the only one mentioning being a European blend.

0w-30 is now made in Belgium. It could be old stock but what everyone loves is now 0w-40 and says made in Germany on the back.
