Default 99 Z28 - Headlights staying on during daylight.

(Yes the switch is off)
My car has automatic headlights as most Camaro's do but during daylight they have completely stopped switching off. It "looks" like the sensor is still in place where it should be by the alarm light on the dash but is there anything else that could be causing this?

Meanwhile is there any way I can override this feature so I dont burn through bulbs?

You can simply disable the auto headlight feature, then just control them with the switch. Personally I have chosen to disable both the auto headlights and DRLs on every 4th gen I have owned as I can't stand either feature, it's really quite a simple modification if you have a soldering iron. A how-to might be contained in the link you've already posted; the old link I have is unfortunately dead.
