What's the purpose of this harness connector?
Way back when I switched to the LS6 intake manifold on my stock LS1, I removed the EGR pump. Soon I'll be connecting the old EGR harness to an Autometer fuel pressure sender so I can scan fuel PSI.
When I removed the old electrical tape covering the EGR connector, I noticed I still had a weather pack connector with yellow ends laying next to the valve cover. The wiring loops out of the loom, into the connector, out of the connector and back into the loom. Doesn't seem like optimal routing and I'd like it to look more tidy. Does anyone know what the purpose is and if I can get rid of the weather pack connector and tuck it in to the harness somehow?

Do you still have AC??
If not, could it be the AC compressor harness/connector?
I bundled the unused EGR and AC harnesses/connectors together on mine and put them in some convoluted split tubing and then silicone taped the whole thing.
