Default Jacking up to put blocks under wheels?

I need to get my car up on blocks, on the wheels, so it's sitting level and I can work on my new watts link and set it up like it would be on the ground. I have a QuickJack and large and small rolling jacks. My QuickJack raises about 18 inches but the wheels hang down, I can only get about 7 inches of clearance under a wheel. How could I safely jack up the axle or front to get about 11-12 inches under a wheel?
Another restriction is I can't build ramps and drive up on it, the transmission is out of the car.
Thanks for ideas.

jack the rear up by using the center of the rear end so it gets the wheels up with it. for the front I jack the front end up by center of k member then take a smaller jack and put under the A arm and jack it up to compress the suspension again.

Put blocks under the jacks. 2X12"s work nicely.

What might be easier (and definitely safer) is to put stands under the front a arms, frame and then jack the rear axle up to compression and put stands under the axle. You can get your car even and then not worry about anything shifting with it balancing on blocks.
