Default Blinker issue

Ok so i have a 2000 pontiac firebird that we recently changed the key cylinder out and had to change the turn signal inside the steering column.

now that we have it finished and car running when we turn on the signal lights for the left turn signal it is just solid lights up no flashing then when we turn on the right turn signal the tail light comes on but the front one does not and the left turn signal comes on no flashing but comes on. any ideas on what it could be?

What does this mean? Did you change the white plastic mechanism (for the turn signal) inside the steering column while you had everything apart?

If so, you probably had to take the wires out of the connector to fish them through the steering column. My first guess would be that you didn't get the wires back in the right slots in the connector when everything went back together.
