I have attached a picture of what broke off. I need to get this fixed as soon as I can.

Does anyone know the process on how to replace it? 200+ views with no comments. Do my posts lack? Am I that boring?

Yeah haha! I took apart a turntable before and couldn't put it back together. I'm gonna buy the part, play it safe and take it to a shop. Thanks for the pics! I searched ACDELCO D6380D on Google but netted no results on forums.

That's the part that broke. Thank you again for posting this guide. I can't afford to have an undriveable car.


Or can I....?

Confirmed. It is a PITA.

If you have experience doing work in the steering column and have the right tools, it's a half-day job. If you don't have this experience, it could be a weekend job and you might need some help - although there are some videos online now.

I put in a Duralast SW883 40K miles ago and it's been fine. If you search for this part, you should find some videos.
