Default Stupid Question for 94-97 firebird/camaro owners

When you tilt your console lid all the way back does the rubber hit the center console piece and make a sqeeking noise? Iv never had mine on (had broken latches) but now that I got it on it seems very lose.. it barely clips and when titled back has the problem as mentioned

I don't know about the squeaking noise but on all of them the latches really suck. There is actually a TSB about it, because the latch is so poor it would cause the console light to stay on. I don' t know what the fix was off hand but I just pulled the bulb and pinswitch on mine alltogether.

Broken plastic is really accountable for 90% of the problems I've had with my 4th gens.
