Default not stripped headlight gears!!!!!

i have a problem with head light motors. has anyone else had a headlight motor blow the side cover off, so the gears freewheel? i thought it was a freak thing then dhanged it and a month later ......dun dun dun.... same thing!!!!!!

I've never heard of that. Maybe it wasnt glued/sealed properly. If you can post up some pics of the motor. We might be able to better tell what happened.

twice in a month, same side........ and the side cover is gone. i didnt modify them or anything, came from parts store and installed.....

When I put a new gear in my old firebird headlight motor, I didnt take too much time glueing it, a couple weeks ago the cover popped off and the motor stopped working. So I am betting the covers are just not getting sealed properly and they are coming off.

i could understand that , but htis was stock , from the auto parts store.....
