A/C Clutch Swap
Has anyone swapped the clutches on an a/c compressor before? The clutch on the '94 T/A is bad and I have a good clutch and an unknown condition compressor from a parts car. I'm assuming you just pull the clutch off with a puller and then use a nut anmd the shaft to reinstall it? Job possible in car?
Thanks
Thanks

Ive figure it out only if thats what you do. The current clutch isn't engaging at all - is the elctro magnet on the compressor side or the clutch side?

Can you just pull it off with a pulley puller, or does it unscrew? My LS1 compressor has a nut holding the clutch on, neither LT1 compressor does. It also appears to be keyed.
As far as jumping the low side switch, no, I haven't but thats not the problem. The cars bumps the idle, turns the fan on and sends a signal to the compressor. Its just dead electrically. I plugged in the spare compressor and the clutch engaged immediately, so its definetly an electrical problem with the clutch.
