Default trans am a/c

the a/c on my trans am will cycle from vent to floor all by itself, even when it is just on vents it will go to the floor for about 3-5 seconds then go back to vents. What would be the reason for this and how do i fix it?

Do all of the other modes work properly when selected? You either have a vacuum problem or a HVAC control module problem.

im pretty sure the other settings work, if i remember right i had it on vents/floor once and it worked out, but every now and again the vents would shut off and the floor would go, but it would not go vice versa. If i have a vacuum problem what do i need to do to fix it? will i eventually lose my A/C?

Trace the vacuum line in this picture. It heads over to the back of the intake manifold. Make sure there arent any kinks, cracks, or parts of smashed line that may cause an eratic setting.

No you shouldnt lose your A/C, you will just lose it out of your vent. I think it should default to your defrost vents. Or unless our cars go to the floor but i thought when most cars lose the vacuum they will automatically go to the defrost.
