Default Have a weird problem with headlights...

Went out driving today, it was dark so I had the lights on. Turn the lights off, lights go off, both motors go down, and then the passenger side comes back up.

Watch and let me know what you think...

I call it the 'wink'.

What do you guys think?

Wow, thats almost scary. Christine -like behavior

Not sure what would cause it though, do the motors have some sort of auto reverse in case there is something in the way of it closing?? That might have something to do with it, if thats in fact how they are set up.

I've never seen this type of headlight thing before.

Keep the help coming.

Should I just invest in a new motor?

I don't think the problem is with the motor. If it was, the headlight would probably either be stuck open or stuck closed. It still opens and closes no problem, so I wouldn't replace the motor.

Like I said, its probably some kind of sensor or relay thats gone bad.

WTF!!
I would say your right headlight is going out. Mine still went up and down when my motor went out (99). Not sure about the 1996 and how they work.
