royal purple or castrol gc?

royal purple gains you power by being thin. it's less effort to pump so it makes less parasitic loss. this horsepower is at the expense of engine protection.
you'll get better protection with a thicker oil such as german castrol. IMO, the 5hp you'll lose with GC over royal purple is worth its unmatched engine protection and wear numbers. it's a small price to pay for a quiet engine with unmatched protection and no oil burnoff.
